Drawn Solid
‘Drawn Solid‘ is a single continuous white line / form, that passed through the gallery wall at THEY COME. THEY SIT. THEY GO. – a project space in London Fields. It requisitioned the wall not as a practical, vertical surface on which to hang, but as a mechanism that allowed it to flow from one place to another. Thanks to the wall, Drawn Solid existed both inside and outside the gallery / project space. A sense of planarity experienced at right angles with the wall and within what was a dimensional installation, arguably gave the work the sense of having a ‘front’ which is of interest to me.
‘Thinking Thresholds’
“How precocious it is
to transition from thought to doing,
Such a considerable moment, unconsidered.
Attached to thinking and
inside time lost, things get done.
Thresholds are crossed.”
(written for the exhibition – see link below)
