‘Diptych: clam’

Diptych: clam began by imagining one circular form folding down onto the other – ‘clam- like’ – and with the junction of wall and floor acting like a hinge. The circle on the wall was drawn with string, the circular form on the floor was drawn by cleaning away the dirt.

Materials: the wall, the floor, Jif/Cif, string and a white chalk line surrounding the form on the floor. Dimensions: each circle’s diameter = 1.5 meters

‘Diptych: clam’ was made in the studio, on a two-month residency at PADA, Lisbon Portugal.
